The SummerFun tournament is now in it's 15th year and is the largest tournament to be held annually in South Carolina. This tournament attracts some of the top horseshoe pitchers from the eastern United States.

The Summerfest tournament was first held in 1996 and 1997 at the York, SC complex as part of the Summerfest festival. In 1998 it was moved to the Clover Community Park in Clover, SC and renamed "SummerFun". It was held there for the next two years (1999-2000)as well and grew so rapidly that the need for a more accommodating site was evident. As a result, in 2001 the SummerFun tournament was relocated to the beautiful new facilities located in Newberry, SC. The SummerFun remained in this location since that time. This location provides better access, accomodations, and other attractions. We are sure you will find plenty of the southern hospitality that has made this tournament so much fun in the past.

Beginning in 2008 the SummerFun tournament was rescheduled to Memorial Day weekend to take advantage of the cooler spring temperatures.
